The FULL bike course
 The Full Bike Course is 25km, mainly on formed gravel roads threading their way throughout the windfarm site. After a pleasant warmup cyclists will climb 350m to the highest point, passing close by the 107m wind turbines leading to an exhilerating downhill that requires extra care. This ride circumnavigates White Hill offering spectacular 360 degree views of Northern Southland. On a good day you may even see Stewart Island.
The RECREATIONAL ride
The Recreational Ride covers 17kms on good gravel surfaces that includes a challenging climb and the opportunity to ride almost underneath a wind turbine whilst also providing plenty of spectacular viewing opportunities. Riders will note that the course route is the same improved route as last year - thus providing a good warmup period before climbing up hill.
The 13km CROSS COUNTRY RUN
The 13km Cross Country Run is over the same improved route as last year allowing runners the chance to warm up before striking the hill section. Much of the race route is off road and follows farm tracks. This run is challenging in places but it does afford great views.
The JUNIOR BIKE
The 4km Junior Bike event will give the children the opportunity to ride the 4km loop track along the base of the windfarm. The surface varies from a gravel road to a farm track over undulating terrain.
This year the childrens event will finish in the main finishing shoot and prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place getters as well as the usual surprise for all the children entered
Please note: this event does not take the children up to the wind turbines but they will get good views of them.
The 5km return WALK.
This guided hill walk goes up to a turbine and gives the competitor a look inside an operational wind turbine. A member of the Meridian staff will be on hand to supervise the walk and answer any questions before heading back down to the starting area.
